The Alzheimer’s Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer care, support and research. Their mission is to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected.

The American Cancer Society
This nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization provides extensive information on preventing cancer and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.

Caring from a distance. (CFAD)
This nonprofit organization offers assistance, resources and support for men and women providing long distance care.

Family Caregiver Alliance
The FCA provides a wealth of information on care strategies, stress relief, community resources, family issues and hands-on care.

NIH Senior Health
The National Institute of Health’s Senior Health Web site provides an easy-to-navigate menu of articles about aging and health-related topics for seniors and their families.

A nation-wide resource providing information on locating a variety of community services that supports older adults.

Benefits Checkup (National Council on Aging)
An organization that helps find programs for people ages 55 and over that may pay for some of their costs of prescription drugs, health care, utilities, and other essential items or services.
